It depends on where you are or work. In the states it's getting more and more common that people are upskilling by doing courses and bootcamps to get promotions and better job offers. That's mainly because they value good character and skills over degrees these days. Majorly for tech. For fields like Medicine and Law and engineering it's good to get a Masters degree. But for tech people are less and less spending on Masters and prefer Courses on Coursera and Bootcamps to upskill. What do you think about this shift in Education?

It's a super Saturday here in Alexandria. There's Art on the Avenue on Mount Vernon Avenue near Old Town Alexandria, and small business owners are selling everything from birdhouses to scarves. Meanwhile, about an hour's drive away in Sterling, Sterling Fest is kicking off with funnel cakes and face painting, as well as music, and there's a reason familities look forward to these events all year. I just went back to work after staying home with my son for a year this August. Now that I've been back at work for a little while now, I'm realizing my creative energy was the first thing to fall away. Even Grammarly is checking in with me and seeing if anything is wrong because of how little I've been writing. The only thing giving me Hope is my writing group. A few friends from my MFA program sent me pages from their books, and I sent them some of mine. I'm hoping having an audience will increase my willingness to stay motivated. Any other writers going through something like this? What helps?

People know college is slow to teach you things and they don't teach you everything that you need to get a job, so people buy these courses. But do your research before you buy that course. See what value you get and how can you upskill with that course.
